Do you have newly appointed supervisors, chargehands or team leaders who have had little or no previous training in supervisory or management skills? It might be that they are new to your organisation or perhaps they’ve been recently promoted.  You may also have people who, whilst they may not be in a supervisory role at the moment, have potential to progress and wish to develop their skills.

The Foundation Skills for Managing programme consists of a series of five one-day workshops approximately four to six weeks apart which introduce participants to the basic skills of supervision and management.

The exact content of the programme can by designed to meet your particular requirements but, by way of illustration, could typically include the following:-

Workshop 4 - Presentation Skills and Techniques

·           Presentation skills - organising the structure
·           Do’s and don’ts
·           Using visual aids
·           Getting your message across successfully

Workshop 5 – Pulling It All Together

·           Health and safety – Your role and responsibilities
·           Preparation for presentations
·           Final presentation to your line manager of your learning from the programme
